Nellie Cashman Woman Business Owner of the Year
October 1999, 2000 AND 2001
SITUATION
Women Business Owners acquired “The Nellie” from another women’s organization. It had “limped” along for several years. I was brought in to increase the event’s visibility and bring in a larger attendance. The event is now Seattle’s premiere event for business women to attend on an annual basis – it’s the place to be seen and heard!
Event Consultant and Manager
- Increased the visibility, attendance, income and sponsorship of a small event owned by Women Business Owners (WBO).
- Increased sponsorship sales from $15,000.00 to over $50,000.00 in two years.
- Increased profitability of event from WBO supporting the event from nothing to $10,000.00.
- Increased pro-bono services for the event.
- Brought multi-media to event presentation video.
- Negotiated multiple three-year contracts with major sponsors.
- Seamlessly moved event to new venues each year, as attendance increased from 200 to 400 guests.
- Developed relationships with sponsors to ensure they received value-added benefits for being a part of the Nellie. Our key sponsor wanted to build relationships with successful businesswomen. LBE developed a “Breakfast of Champions” for every person who submitted an application to the Nellie.
"Linda Browne Events is wonderful! The superior quality of their work, creativity, professionalism and follow-through are fabulous! They put on beautiful, high level events and keep everyone happy in the process.” - Dr. Julie Miller, Past President, Women Business Owners
